ReadyRuck Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 24, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ReadyRuck (“ReadyRuck,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information about you when you use our iOS and iPadOS applications, websites including readyruck.com and app.readyruck.com, RuckSync, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

1. Scope & Who We Are

This Policy applies to information we process in connection with the Services. Some features use third-party services such as Apple, Supabase, hosting providers, email providers, and monitoring tools. Those providers’ privacy terms may also apply to their services.

2. Information We Collect

A. Information you provide directly

  • Account and contact data: email address, name or display information you choose to provide, Apple ID-related information you choose to share, and support requests.
  • ReadyRuck content: inventory names, quantities, categories, expiration dates, storage locations, notes, photos/images, account settings, sync settings, and other information you enter into the app or web portal.
  • Communications: messages to support, feedback, and other communications you send us.

B. Information collected automatically

  • Device and technical data: app version, device model, operating system version, language, time zone, IP address, browser type, logs, performance data, and crash/error information.
  • Web session data: cookies or similar technologies used for login sessions, security, preferences, and core website/app functionality.
  • Usage and diagnostics: basic interactions needed to provide, secure, debug, and improve the Services. We do not use this information to sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

C. Information from third parties

  • Apple: information needed for Sign in with Apple where available, App Store subscriptions, StoreKit purchase/restore flows, purchase validation, and App Store server notifications.
  • Supabase/RuckSync infrastructure: account authentication, database records, file/image storage, realtime sync events, and subscription-status records used to provide RuckSync and web portal access.
  • Service providers: hosting, email delivery, monitoring/error logging, and customer support providers may process limited data for us.

3. Local Data, RuckSync, iCloud, and Backups

  • Local/offline use: ReadyRuck is designed to work offline. Inventory and related content may be stored locally on your device.
  • RuckSync and web portal: if you create or sign into a RuckSync account and have an eligible plan, inventory, storage, settings, photos/images, and related metadata may sync through ReadyRuck’s Supabase-backed services so the data can be backed up and shown across your devices and the web portal.
  • Images: item photos/images may be stored locally on your device and, when RuckSync or web image upload is used, in ReadyRuck-managed cloud storage.
  • Apple iCloud/CloudKit: parts of the iOS app may use Apple frameworks, and legacy/local sharing paths may use CloudKit/iCloud under Apple’s control. Apple’s privacy terms apply to Apple services. RuckSync is ReadyRuck’s primary paid cloud sync and web-portal bridge.

4. Subscriptions and Purchase Validation

ReadyRuck uses Apple App Store and StoreKit subscription information to determine plan access. When you purchase or restore a subscription, Apple may send ReadyRuck purchase identifiers, product identifiers, transaction status, environment information (sandbox or production), expiration/renewal information, and related signed purchase or notification data. ReadyRuck uses this information to connect App Store subscription status to your signed-in RuckSync account and to enable paid features and web portal access where applicable.

5. How We Use Information

  • Provide the Services: app functionality, inventory and storage management, RuckSync, backups, web portal access, account management, support, and subscription entitlement checks.
  • Maintain and improve: debugging, quality assurance, product improvement, reliability, and performance.
  • Security and integrity: authentication, authorization, fraud prevention, abuse detection, incident investigation, and protection of users and the Services.
  • Legal and compliance: comply with law, enforce terms, process rights requests, and protect our rights and users.
  • Communications: send service notices, account emails, support replies, and, where permitted, optional informational or promotional messages. You can opt out of non-essential emails.

6. Our Position on Sale or Sharing of Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined by U.S. privacy laws. If that ever changes, we will update this Policy, provide required notice, and honor required choices before engaging in that activity.

7. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information:

  • To service providers and contractors who process information for us, such as hosting, database/storage, authentication, email delivery, monitoring/error logging, customer support, and payment/subscription infrastructure.
  • To Apple and platform providers as needed for App Store subscriptions, purchase validation, Sign in with Apple where available, device services, and platform operations.
  • To professional advisors such as lawyers, accountants, and auditors under confidentiality obligations.
  • For legal reasons to comply with law, lawful requests, or protect rights, safety, and security.
  • In business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy or a successor policy with comparable protections.

We do not send or sell your data to third parties for their independent marketing purposes.

8. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services, maintain accounts and subscriptions, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security. Retention periods vary by data type and context. Where feasible, we delete, de-identify, or aggregate data when full retention is no longer required.
