Terms of Use
ReadyRuck Terms of Use
Effective date: May 24, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of ReadyRuck’s iOS and iPadOS applications, websites including readyruck.com and app.readyruck.com, RuckSync, reference materials, subscriptions, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). “ReadyRuck,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to ReadyRuck. By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Important Safety Notice: Use at Your Own Risk
ReadyRuck is a preparedness, inventory, storage, reference, and planning tool. It is not an emergency response service, medical service, legal service, public-safety service, rescue service, or professional advisory service. You are responsible for your own decisions, supplies, plans, safety practices, training, compliance with law, and emergency response.
Do not rely on ReadyRuck for real-time emergency response, life-safety decisions, diagnosis, treatment, or protection of life, health, property, or critical infrastructure. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number and follow instructions from qualified emergency, medical, law-enforcement, fire, public-health, or government authorities.
2. Reference Articles and Third-Party Resources
ReadyRuck reference articles, preparedness checklists, storage suggestions, medical-triage summaries, and linked resources are provided for general informational and educational purposes only. They are guidelines, not professional advice. They may not be complete, current, appropriate for your location, household, medical condition, supplies, environment, legal obligations, or emergency situation.
ReadyRuck does not provide medical, legal, financial, emergency-management, survival, security, engineering, public-health, or professional advice. No content creates a doctor-patient, attorney-client, fiduciary, professional, or advisory relationship.
The Services may link to or summarize resources from government agencies, nonprofits, public-health organizations, or other third parties. Unless we expressly state otherwise, ReadyRuck is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or controlled by those third parties. Third-party links are provided for convenience and source transparency only. We do not control, guarantee, or accept responsibility for third-party content, availability, accuracy, policies, advice, or actions.
3. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be able to form a binding agreement to use the Services. The Services are not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials, devices, Apple account, email account, and RuckSync account secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
4. Subscriptions, App Store Purchases, and Paid Features
Some ReadyRuck features may require a paid subscription or eligible plan. iOS subscriptions are processed through Apple’s App Store and are subject to Apple’s terms, payment rules, cancellation rules, refund rules, and subscription management tools. ReadyRuck may use Apple StoreKit, App Store purchase validation, and server notifications to determine plan access and connect purchases to your signed-in RuckSync account.
Feature access may vary by plan, platform, subscription state, account state, region, device, version, and technical availability. You are responsible for signing into the correct ReadyRuck/RuckSync account before purchasing or restoring a subscription if you want subscription status connected to that account.
5. Your Content and Data
You are responsible for the inventory, storage, notes, images, account information, and other content you enter into the Services (“Your Content”). You represent that you have the rights needed to enter, upload, sync, or share Your Content through the Services.
You retain ownership of Your Content. You grant ReadyRuck a limited license to host, store, copy, transmit, display, process, modify for technical formatting, back up, and otherwise use Your Content as needed to provide, secure, maintain, support, and improve the Services.
6. Data Loss, Backups, Sync, and Availability
ReadyRuck is designed to help you track preparedness supplies, but no app, device, backup, sync system, network, cloud provider, or storage system is perfect. Data may be lost, delayed, corrupted, duplicated, unavailable, or not synced because of user action, device failure, software bugs, account problems, subscription status, network outages, provider outages, conflicts, deletion, storage limits, migrations, or other causes.
You are responsible for maintaining your own independent backups, exports, records, and verification of critical preparedness information. Do not rely on ReadyRuck as your only record of emergency supplies, medical information, legal documents, inventory values, or other important information.
ReadyRuck does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, perfect sync, permanent storage, successful backup, successful restore, or recovery of lost data.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Services. Prohibited conduct includes:
- violating law or third-party rights;
- attempting to access accounts, systems, data, or areas you are not authorized to access;
- interfering with security, authentication, rate limits, billing, entitlement checks, or service operation;
- reverse engineering, scraping, crawling, or automated access except as permitted by law or written permission;
- uploading malware, harmful code, illegal content, or content you do not have rights to use;
- using the Services to harass, abuse, defraud, threaten, or harm others;
- misrepresenting affiliation, endorsement, subscription status, identity, or source of information;
- using the Services for life-critical, high-risk, emergency-response, or safety-critical systems where failure could lead to injury, death, property loss, or environmental harm.
8. Intellectual Property
The Services, including ReadyRuck’s software, design, logos, branding, text, graphics, layout, icons, and other materials, are owned by ReadyRuck or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited right to use the Services under these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, or create derivative works from the Services except as expressly permitted by ReadyRuck or applicable law.
9. Feedback
If you provide ideas, suggestions, bug reports, feature requests, or other feedback, you grant ReadyRuck the right to use that feedback without restriction or compensation. Feedback does not create any obligation to build, support, or release any feature.
10. Future Features, Roadmaps, and Beta/UAT Features
Any statements about future features, roadmaps, plans, designs, pricing, platform support, integrations, public launches, or release timing are informational only and are not promises or guarantees. ReadyRuck may change, delay, remove, limit, or decide not to build any future feature at any time.
Beta, testing, UAT, preview, or experimental features may be incomplete, unstable, inaccurate, unavailable, or changed without notice. Use them at your own risk and do not rely on them for critical data or decisions.
11. Third-Party Services
The Services may depend on third-party platforms and providers, including Apple, App Store, iCloud/CloudKit, Supabase, hosting providers, email providers, monitoring/error logging providers, and linked external websites. ReadyRuck is not responsible for third-party services, outages, terms, policies, decisions, security incidents, content, or availability.
12. Privacy
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information.
13. Changes, Suspension, and Termination
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Services at any time, with or without notice, to the extent permitted by law. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk, failed to pay required charges, misused the Services, or if continued access would create legal, security, operational, or business risk.
You may stop using the Services at any time. Some account deletion, subscription cancellation, refund, or data deletion processes may be governed by Apple, applicable law, or our Privacy Policy.
14. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services and all content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. ReadyRuck disclaims all warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, reliability, security, completeness, and that defects will be corrected.
ReadyRuck does not warrant that the Services will meet your needs, be uninterrupted, secure, accurate, current, complete, error-free, compatible with every device, or free from data loss, corruption, duplication, or sync conflicts.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ReadyRuck and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, service providers, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or enhanced damages; lost profits; lost revenue; lost savings; lost goodwill; business interruption; personal injury; property damage; emergency losses; loss, corruption, duplication, or deletion of data; loss of preparedness supplies; or costs of substitute services, even if advised of the possibility of those damages.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ReadyRuck’s total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to ReadyRuck for the Services in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some limitations may not apply to you. In those jurisdictions, liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
16. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ReadyRuck and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, service providers, and affiliates from and against claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising out of or related to your use of the Services, Your Content, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, or your violation of another person’s rights.
17. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and applicable United States law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise. You and ReadyRuck agree to try to resolve disputes informally first by contacting the email address below.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will show a new effective date and may be posted on our website or in-app. Your continued use of the Services after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
